Of masts and moorland...

Why mast and moorland? I live in the Pennines, an outstandingly beautiful part of England which is covered by a large amount of moorland. My fiancé and I spend a lot of our time criss-crossing these moors and our current home is between three television masts; Holme Moss, Emley Moor and the twin masts we call the home spikes (I’m not sure what they’re really called).


This is the view from our skylight towards Emley Moor Mast. It snowed a lot this winter in the Pennines; we kept being snowed in, but the view was kind of worth it. The arrow points to the mast.

Beginnings

I’ve been wandering around the blogosphere for over a year and it’s time to participate properly…

The blogs I follow (67 of them, eeeek) cover four main areas; designers/artists/crafters, florists, weddings and interior design. Strangely enough these are the areas I’m most likely to be taking about; the flowers I’m making from fabric for my wedding in October, the wild-countryesque arranging style I’ll be trying to perfect, other wedding details, and the renovation/decoration of our 1830 weaver’s cottage.
